About R J Nix

R J Nix, also known as Rowan, fell in love with books from a very early age. Devouring Biff, Chip and Kipper adventures, as well as Narnia and other childhood classics. They started writing soon after, bits and bobs of stories that have been left in countless notebooks over the years. They then turned their hand to theatre, and became a theatre director, running their own theatre company for a while. It was at this point that they started writing again - producing their first play 'The Tragedy of Robin Hood' to critical acclaim.

Growing up in Nottingham, surrounded by stories of Robin Hood and the evil Sheriff of Nottingham, it was inevitable that fantasy and mythology would be their first love, a love you can see throughout their writing.

When not writing, they can often be found in the garden, going on long walks in the plentiful forests near where they live, or in the theatre, where they will either be treading the boards or behind the scenes. There's no business like show business!

As well as writing, gardening, and loving the theatre, they also have a blog all about books and writing. Have a look by clicking on the link below
